Phase-field simulation of grain growth and phase transformations (»Add to Infobox)

Physical Metallurgy

The phase-field method, as implemented in the Micress (developed by Access) and the FEM-lego (developed by Amberg at KTH) codes will be employed to simulate grain growth and phase transformations in some stainless steels. Simulations will be performed and compared with experimental data obtained at KTH and available in the literature.
