History of Architecture

Restoration, preservation and conservation in architecture are practices which relate generally to research in history of architecture. However they also in themselves generate a substantial field of research. This includes technical aspects of materials and construction methods as well as problems of theory, ideology or methodology. History of restoration also forms an active branch of architectural history. This project spans the whole width of these questions, but has a common denominator in the study of Swedish sources and materials.
