Nanostructured macro-porous surfaces for enhanced boiling in heat exchangers (»Add to Infobox)

The main focus of this project is to verify the concept of using our new enhanced boiling technology in the industrial-scale air-conditioning and refrigeration applications. Therefore, the work of this project will be concentrated on scaling-up of the fabrication process from lab-scale prototype to industrial-scale prototype which can be tested directly in the real industrial-scale applications. Other suggested work efforts are related to: a) performance evaluation of the technology on other applications which will make the technology more appealing and increase its market share, and b) developing a step-wise/continuous electrodeposition process which will bring down the cost of the technology further.
